Eternity Road

Outside my window cars are rushing by Inside my window life is rushing by Vote for eternity! Let the savage howls of the multitude fade in your mind Now is the time for you to escape I'll join you we'll need a getaway car and a heavy sense of peace I believe we can journey to a better place if we join hands before dawn breaks we'll have escaped the onrush of time Learn to live peacefully blissfully unaware of the world's troubles Seeking shelter from the storm we'll find the perfect spot Somewhere in the distance Eternity road beckons Let's not be too late to answer its call

I appreciate your poem content Matthew. Stop the world complexity, the long black train headed for nowhere. That perfect spot is a sacred place, strait and narrow is it's path, few are able to find it. smile. Agape, Moses

Enjoyed the reading of your work..Oh! for that spot of peace and serenity....A place where soft instrumental music or just the sounds of nature before the rush of day..Your poem brought me into the presence of peace...Have a great evening..Sara
