Eternity
Sunlight descends, moonlight comes to play
And in the darkness, peeks eternity
Little pot lights of stars leading the way
Beckoning man to a life he can’t see.
If eternity is meant to never end
And stars are a mere illusion
And time is not straight, but destined to bend
Is the fabric of space a delusion?
I don’t understand, and I really don’t care
I don’t ask questions “Where did it begin?”
Lest a cold sweat form, leave my soul bare
I know this is where my faith must step in.
Somewhere, someone must have made a plan
For I know we were not an accident
One day I will know how it all began
Until then, with HIM I will be content!
I’ll not waste a moment of sun today
Or of the moonlight that will soon follow
Time will move on, I will not have a say
Tho in pain, I resolve not to wallow!
I leave eternity to those who will seek
For the meaning of time and space as well
But I will not give them a single peek
Nor will I worry of heaven or hell.
My faith inspires me to live as HE planned
Live every moment as if the last one
Make wise decisions, with HIS helping hand
So my soul can live on, when this life is done!
