Eternal Regret

He had tried every avenue, and yet he still ended up lost He could never decipher what was true which had a cost But he never peered in but instead he would look away So he continued to sin having never learned how to pray He had heard many others speak about this God in the sky And how we were weak and only Jesus is able to get us by But he would instantly turn away in continuing upon his path He knew in the end they would say you will face God‘s wrath He even had friends of such some know a little more than others But all of them with the same touch loving your sisters and brothers But such advice he would ignore tossing all others had said far aside Not knowing what was in store all of it still hidden because of his pride His parents long since stop trying they both passed nearly a year apart He tried to pray when they were dying, he just couldn’t seem to start Now he has passed away his body buried next to his parents graves And on that final judgment day sadly he will realize only Jesus saves

Hi Vincent. Seems to me you pen about many who THINK they have all the answers. The world is going over a waterfall, trying to save itself without God. Arrogant to the max. I see it in the poetry. Worse, government thinks it will save us. And we all are perfect, as we bend our knee to a muse? God gets no credit? Huggs,PanagiotA xx

I do believe America and the world are about to go off a waterfall because neither are willing to repent. There are greater forces at work, a great spiritual battle. But I also understand faith is a gift it is nothing I did. I may seem tough on those who don’t have it but in my heart I understand. Sugarcoating does no one any favors and perhaps a good splash of cold water might make their senses to start to look. Of course I could use that splash of water also for I am but a sinner too. To God be all the glory. Thank you so much for your comment
