Et Portae Inferi Non Valebit, Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail

Et Portæ Inferi Non Valebit (And the gates of hell will not prevail) Gates of Hell shall never ever prevail promulgation of Truth forever stands. Soul and Spirit each rings a sounding bell Fate's ruthless results judges all the lands. Vanities of all men foolishly praised Spirit's dark desires bearing bitter fruit. Rejection of He that was truly raised lies and corruption are the stolen loot. Righteous hearts look to Heavenly skies sincere prayers, deliver such bless reward. Mankind races onward using blinded eyes to an ending very bitter and hard. In the dark shadow of this evil world. Our Creator's redemption has been hurled! Robert J. In this day and age we all should be looking for a higher power for guidance and protection. True evil now has its greatest power roaming our world.

Robert . . . Just my sentiment entirely. I have another in-depth write planned in a Tercet (unrhymed version) that might have some length to it. This poem will be entitled: "A World on Fire." It will be this poet's observation regarding the many forms and guises of this "True Evil" now pervading our world. Best Wishes, Gary (P.S. Words Do Count!!)

Robert, A truly priceless Sonnet here, and truly marvelous write!! It's interesting, my next project I am planning to write is a Sonnet (Shakespearean Format). I just saw your wonderful sonnet here and it was a must that I comment. It is said, "That Words Count," and in this instance given the tumultuous world we live in today, the tenor of your message in this sonnet resonates all the more true. This one is a most obvious "7" and a FAV of mine. Best Wishes Always, Gary

Thanks my friend. Await your new write to read and you are correct, words count, more so with poets, than any other I believe.
