Escape From Self

could we even begin to fathom as far as finite minds might go keeps souls trapped in ransom preventing spirits freedom flow investing priceless treasure in us He repudiates mediocre returns we should examine just as much value impart a heart that yearns we must not bury treasures of life under exterior of common humanity instead place Jesus within our strife escape from self and arrogant vanity His will His life resurrection and powers praying His prayers desiring His desires seeking His possessions at sacred hours alive in Christ sacrificed as He requires ( I no longer live, but Christ lives in me—Galations 2:20 ) © November 2013—Kim van Breda

Well said, Kim! As a Christian, we no longer belong to ourselves, but to Christ. More and more I'm realizing that my life isn't about me and what I want. It should be all about Him. So glad I stopped by for a read. Love, Kim M.
