Eric and Dylan

I speak daggers That run deeper Into the psyche Than the insult Fresh off the Tongue of the Twisted twelve-year old Huffing glue behind Your neighborhood CVS An insult that cuts Deeper than any Blow dealt Out by Daddy Whiskey-on-his-Breath Or Uncle Candy-Nose Insult that adds spark To black powder propelling Lead hate from The chamber And into the Student Council President And the Homecoming Queen An insult that sprays Hate like a fire hose Trying to save little Jimmy On the top floor of a burning House ready to collapse around His frail ten-year-old skeleton An insult is not A word But a scar tattooed On the forehead to those It was dealt Because perception Can become reality ready to rip silent but deadly truths that test willpower and deadly seduction by word of mouth.
