Erased
The bullet flung a monstrous lie,
In a flash the rocket had rose,
And the aspiring artist set in the sky,
A beautiful doing a pose.
Then the cowboy sat so far away,
While at point blank the long lady sat,
With a cheeky frame going astray,
She was a life sentence of a black hat.
A weapon, a gaze, an attack of a girl,
A groove became a mental outburst.
Then, with a swipe, the idea of a pearl,
It was lost, he was torn, he was cursed.
This bright was erased, the lethal had snowed,
His lightning had gone from his life.
And the banjo just played, his dark dream sped away,
His ice grin was now tatter and strife.
