Equations
‘What is this strange place we find ourselves in,
Trapped in the open, we are free within’
If I pretend and spin a thread, would it pull
You closer to the soft center of my web?
If I gave you my mouth and swallowed my pride
Would you smile or laugh out loud from deep inside
If I were to wink would you see the grief trapped
In eye ink?
Would you see the calm bravado
in my never-blinking eyes
If in the dead of night I screamed out in pain?
Would the inclement weather, let me flow with the rain
If we click to see, to capture a feeling?
Would my breath inside a frame, stand still, un-feeling
If we receive a wondrous kiss from a breathtaking view
Would it comfort and cradle cherished things
that are so few!
