Envious

Delicate moon you hang in silence woefully awaiting the clouds to cover your shame and blanket you with their adoration Your cyclic nature you rise and fall pulling at the waves as if they were fingers to brush your untouchable face like a lover but still you remain far out of reach The stars light flickers like winking flirtatious eyelashes Lonely moon unabashed by each days resolve you rise to the occasion. I am envious moon. That you shine so brightly in the darkest part of night
