Entropy Principle
Fractures emerge on load baring beams
across the brow ridge of Apollo’s marble face
roadways ache as gravel, tar give way,
leave new sink holes that reek havoc
with suspension systems
the Earth cries, shakes, blows her endless fury
over land, sea, city, farm and village
there is only the reason of no reason
no where to go,
but here “now” and there “later”
as the ash falls, waves cascade into the beaches,
deep within her, revolving in regular motion
on the surface
that which rises manifests chaos,
the reaction is change, then tears
a cry of fear
in the wilderness.
