Enthusiastic Faces
Children at heart, all ages,
celebrate this holiday.
And sing old Christmas carols,
to drive winter blues away.
Following a shopping blitz,
gifts hide in secret places.
And happy smiles appear on
enthusiastic faces.
Kids being bribed to be good
makes parenting less intense.
So parents cheer Santa Claus,
a lie in the kindest sense.
Garlands of fresh mistletoe
encourage flames of passion.
And a bashful lover's kiss,
notes, flirting's still in fashion.
Santa's sleigh is on its way,
led by Rudolph's shiny nose.
Bringing pretty packages;
with ribbons and festive bows.
