Enthusiastic Faces

Children at heart, all ages, celebrate this holiday. And sing old Christmas carols, to drive winter blues away. Following a shopping blitz, gifts hide in secret places. And happy smiles appear on enthusiastic faces. Kids being bribed to be good makes parenting less intense. So parents cheer Santa Claus, a lie in the kindest sense. Garlands of fresh mistletoe encourage flames of passion. And a bashful lover's kiss, notes, flirting's still in fashion. Santa's sleigh is on its way, led by Rudolph's shiny nose. Bringing pretty packages; with ribbons and festive bows.

Hi Emile, cheerful lines you have here, I love your title as it depicts the kind of face we usually see during the yuletide season.. just suggestion in 2nd to the last stanza, first line, without the word "are" it still sounds alright... =`) (sorry no offense) smiles! I enjoyed the read. =`)~Olive Eloisa
