Enslaved
You're a slave
to the domination of your choosing.
You're so naïve.
Simple denial creates confusion.
Just admit it.
That you have a problem
It's so obvious to us all
Just admit it and take the fall
We are delusioned.
We think that we are free.
We're so bound
By our own mindful sound.
Our thoughts twist.
We refuse to acknowledge.
We purposely miss
The escape route that is made.
We are enslaved
To the gods of this world
To carnal minded thinking
Instead of refreshing renewal.
How do we escape?
When all there is to see
Is the constant failure
The repetitive redundancy
Do we stand?
Cast off evil imaginations,
Let our minds have revelation,
And our spirits impartation.
It's no joke.
The hardest armor to wear
The armor of God
Yet it defends us rightly.
No penetration.
The boundaries are set.
But the battle lines
Are in our own minds.
Can you win?
Will you stand up to yourself?
To the ideas you've adopted.
The values you claim true.
The mind's playground.
Full of imaginations
Deceitful in it's own passivity
But there is another…
Enslaved to God
Thinking thoughts He gives
Not all is lost in this generation
New thoughts given rejuvenation
I will stand.
Even in the field of myself.
When my mind is against me
When everything else is failing.
It's either, or.
The choice is well-defined.
You're either for or against.
Which do you choose?
Romans 6:22 - But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to
God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
