Enough

Through the loss he must believe, In her heart she still cares about me, To survive rejection, to deal with the pain, The heart will try to fight it another way, Is this just ego or a prescription for pain??, Or is it a drunken distraction to look in the mirror again??, Screaming in my face, his anger bright red, The blood rushing to his head, A calmness rushes through me, I don't say a word, I stand quietly, for no longer can his abuse be heard, As he clenches his fist, he bites his own tongue, Starving the demons until their gone, Staring from a distance is all he has left, He can no longer get inside my head, I hide the hurt as I walk out the door, My mind knows the truth but my heart feels more, Enough love to say enough is enough, I'm sweating bullets, this one is rough....
