English Is the Best

A young sparrow While eating boiled marrow, Asked her mother Mom, can i join a school? To make the others fool? Mom nodded ‘yes’ And warned her not to make a mess; She took her addjel And kept inside the satchel; She rushed to the class And broke the window glass Nobody gave her a seat Her wings started to beat Finally she found her chair To sit with her pair The children made fun Her heart palpitated to run Each period she flapped her wing To remind the bell to ring She trembled as if in a winter When the teacher yelled in thunder Last period is english She could really relish When she returned to her nest She said that “ english is the best of the rest” s.bagyalakshmi.
