Endometriosis Awareness, collaboration with The Silent One

A collaboration done with the silent one -2022 for endometriosis awareness month, as someone diagnosed with endometriosis, I go through so much pain everyday and I know many that struggle. Some also struggle with weight issues although I don’t, we still highlighted that too here. And also would like to remind others to be mindful when questioning ones weight. And stay kind.

This is a tribute to all endometriosis warriors

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of your uterus grows on other parts of your body. When this tissue grows in the wrong places, it can cause you to experience uncomfortable symptoms that can impact your daily life. Some people with endometriosis also have issues getting pregnant. Cramps creeping and crawling, an unwelcome reminder. Why does my body betray me like an unfaithful secret lover, chaining me to my bed. When did my uterus become my enemy, even the pills offer no sympathy. As a contradiction of contractions, crush my organs like sharpened shards of glass, these strange territories tighten like heavy torture, as linings of sore pelvis feel a tugging pain of shame. Unable to distract this typhoon-like monstrosity, I'm a hostage to this turbulent intruder. For those who question body frames that do not beam, my frowns are not an option, they are a veil to the weight of excruciating fatigue that feeds the sanity in me. There's no 'super human' strength left to curl my fingers into brass knuckles holding my burning edges in peace. Drained by the cries that crack the surface of my womb, agitation is expressed in begrudging outbursts! Unexpected and unpredictable pain is a cureless curse, behaving erratically within a finely constructed system of tubes. Once again, I wonder if this shall be the month that validates my womanhood.

This is intense. I think this is the best yet I have read from you and Silent One. Truthfully, I find it difficult to find words for this... so good of your soul to write dedications like this.

I felt so happy reading this because you have high lighted what I was going through some years back. I had severe endometriosis and intense pain during my periods. I used to go to college after taking painkillers. Later after three years of marriage, we consulted a doctor for infertility and through laparoscopy, I was detected with this accursed condition and started a rigorous course of treatment for long years.Finally we went to the States for laser surgery as it was not so popular here in India at that time. After my surgery, on the 12th year of marriage, I conceived and I am now mother of two sons. But soon after my second son's birth, my uterus and ovaries were removed. Only with that I got relief from endometriosis.

So sorry to learn that you suffer from such pain. Usually people get chocolate cysts. I too had to remove the cyst through surgery. I am happy that I have grown old to be free of the monthly trauma..... :)

Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing sweet valsa, i have endometriosis too and had to do surgery to remove my cysts couple of years ago: but recently the pain has been getting worse. Especially during menstruation its just so painful. I cant even move. I know few that had to remove their ovaries: im so happy you are blessed with children: and im so glad you can resonate too; thank you always for being so supportive

You've shared an excellent collaboration poem my dear poet friends, Ink and SO. Thanks for the great awareness of endometriosis through your powerful write so I will be more cautious on my diet especially now that I'm gaining a lot of weight. Oh do you have endometriosis? Dont worry your diet doesnt affect endometriosis , endometriosis affects weight. Thank you so much always for your sweet support i appreciate you always

As I've said before you guys gel so well together. I'm aware of this condition and the pain it causes. Thank you for your continued educational poetry and the empathy you display toward sufferers. Maybe one day you could do one on fibromyalgia?

I remember this on well, was not easy as a man to write for this, I of course, I have never experienced anything like this and I remember you were the driving force behind it... always great to write poetry which raises awareness..

(PCOS) I feeeeeep this piece!!! From top to bottom!!! For those who question body frames that do not beam,.. I am snapping in the air! I wonder if this shall be the month that validates my womanhood.
