Endless Winter
The dewy raindrops land,
Caught by the sage green leaves,
Stems holding up the petite petals,
As summertime prepares to flee.
The sky cries above me,
Into the palms of plants,
The sunshine shying away,
The sky darkens, ready to rant.
Locked doors tight,
Tears soak into my bed,
Face inside my palms,
Can't believe what was said.
My tears stream down my face,
Caught within the midst of my hand,
Parents squeezing, hugging each side,
Summer has come to an end.
