Encounter Part III

Dashing out my front yard The sun is already high On the boulevard Today seems to be my longest ride I just went bump Off the nearest speed hump The to my surprise A green Toyota Corolla stopped next to me The driver took pity on me And said can you hold on to my bumper I gladly obliged Today I seem to get a sweet ride Old fat Bessie was shocked To see how I travel these days It was like me and my wheelchair Were motor skiing on the open road I was being young and dangerous Tell me how many twenty-four-year-olds' Live to tell their adventures My wheels were smoking When I let go I went to tell my colleagues They did not believe me They wanted to send me back home They thought I was coming down with a fever They thought I was joking I believe that driver was an angel Sent to give me a boost
