i made a grave for you
because i knew it was empty
empty just like me
empty minded, empty hearted
i made a grave for you
because i am guilty
guilty faced, guilty of sin
i made a grave for you
because i am ashamed
ashamed of what i've done
ashamed of who i am
i made a grave for you
because i am honest
honest enough to write this
honest enough to tell the truth
i made a grave for you
because i was confused
confused about what to do
confused about where to go
i made a grave for you
because i love you
