Emptiness of a Shell

I pick a shell up out of the ocean I pour its water out of the shell But the ocean remains within it I hear its water inside my ear Everytime I am at the ocean Anytime I will hold a shell I hear emptiness sounds its limit Sometimes it water seems so near 03-31-1995
