Both of my parents ultimately died from emphysema/chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It's a slow and cruel death that leaves the family asking why! Smoking is such a selfish act!...I wrote a poem about my mother and her emphysema-The Marlboro Woman is Gone...Thanks for this posting, Russell...

Hey, you added another line to a senryu. But it needs to be there, doesn't it!! Have you experienced it, Russell? My husband has asthma really bad and I suppose an attack of asthma could be about the same.
