Emily Dickinson

A woman of brilliance, a lone writer, Her verses were crafted with care. A poet whose words were so intelligent, Her imagination is so vivid and endless. She wrote of the beauty of nature's scenes, The wisdom of love and the mysteries. The joy of life and its times of sorrow, That comes with the passage of tomorrow. Your poetry is so wise on life and demise, Unlike others, you were very different. On love and nature, you did write, And for all of us, a beacon of light. So few saw her talent in her time, But her poems still remain in our minds. And she is one of the greatest poets of all time, Since her words now echo across the sky. Your verses are so unique, so precious, and rare, The mysteries of life, you would always glare. Like a butterfly in the air, so delicate and light, In your writings, your power always shines bright. Your poems are so deep; they strike the heart, A legacy of beauty for us to read and impart. Although you died from disease and lived a life of secrecy, Lavinia published your poetry, leaving your unbreakable legacy.
