Embrace the Quiet
Could you please be still?
Your discontent is plain to see,
Written across your face with skill,
No need to puff your chest with glee.
Your arrogance, a volatile trigger,
A source of ill tidings, indeed,
Is your patience so fragile, so tender?
Perhaps it's best to step out, take heed.
No need for pocket or lineage boasts,
As deep inside, there's a scent of need,
Not the strength or power you'd propose,
But a scent of poverty, alas, indeed.
Social skills are a must to convey,
Bullying others into your clique's embrace,
A circle so small, it disempowers the way,
Find a kinder path, seek a different space.
If you struggle with anger's fiery blaze,
Don't wear it as a badge of pride,
Bringing others down in a harmful craze,
It's time for transformation to be your guide.
Your presence has become a bothersome sound,
No one enjoys a clown in full array,
Strip off those gaudy coats that astound,
For beneath the color, rags on display.
There's no need to fill the void with noise,
No need to try so hard, you see,
When words unkind are your only voice,
Silence can be the remedy.
