Embers and Snowflakes

Snowflakes swirl outside the window As the fire burns embers, keeping me warm Glowing inside a winter globe of white Cold wind moves the air into night As winter whistles songs You are my fire, burning within Inspiring my words to flow, alive again Moving fresh, falling lightly onto pages As the snow sifts from the sky onto ground To sparkle in the sun, when I am found Heidi Sands 1/5/18
