Ember

Ember left to the breeze, Fragile though it is (It survives!) The moment spares it, It dares not grow lest Wind breaks silent vows, Ember left to the mercy, Chaos embedded inevitability, Cruel near-death immortality, Black dust embracing, Rebellious blue fighting! The heat a heart needs to thrive, Limb and finger and bone Giving in to the cold, What valor calls for you? What purpose so high? An ember left to life, Scraps of a larger flame Jealous of the ember's name, Flame giving way to the breeze, The Ember scorches history.
