Embarrassing Moments

Think I'm starting to lose my grip Forgetting the simplest details Things that used to be second nature My mind is now easily derailed No longer able to draw on the past Embarrassing moments occur Vainly searching my once active mind My memory is starting to blur Going to work in my Jockey shorts Can cause quite a stir on the bus Most passengers pretend not to notice Nobody wants to make a fuss Slurping my soup in the local diner Where everyone knows who I am Wearing my best goin'-to-church finery My tie all covered with jam Life's little embarrassing moments Happen at a much faster clip Hopefully it's just a sign of my age Not a sign I'm losing my grip © Jack Ellison 2013

I would definitely go for the getting-older reason. You seem to have too much GRIP to be losing it. I'm not even twenty yet and people like to call me Space Case. Oh well... my mind may not be 100% in the moment of what's happening, but at least I take time to do something productive.

Loved this one. Fortunately, there's more time for doo overs. Like a third visit to the kitchen to get whatever you went for... the first time. Also the big save when you do something wrong... Oppps... guess I'm getting older... I blame a lot on senior moments... My falling resulted in a broken bone... but I've got time to sit around... unfortunately, they've discovered my cause is neuropathy... Hey! It could be worse. With epilepsy, syncopy, and neuroopathy... All the same symptoms... LOL

I feel so fortunate after hearing all your hardships! I'm wondering when I'm going to get hit. And after everything that's happened, you still have an unbelievably AMAZING attitude towards life! Love ya dear lady! Hugs, Jack xoxox

Haha, you are not losing your grip, Jack. Everyone has those blank moments such as -what was I coming here to get? Where did I put my keys? But you know what? You now have an excuse - to blame on your age :)
