Elysium
I know a place where time and space
Seem but faint trace of endless grace.
I know a feel that glows and fills
A gentle thrill with kind goodwill.
I know a lot beyond all thought
Where play and plot seem a dull spot.
I know a smile that ever styles
My earthly miles beyond mere wiles.
I know a voice that echoes poise
That prompts my choice in fond rejoice.
I know a sum that calms and comes
To hint in psalm a lovely balm.
I know a touch in joy and nudge
That means so much to me as such.
I know a rhyme that flings all time
In mystic mimes that spring all chimes.
I know a truth that hurls beauty
In placid proof of ecstasy.
I know a face that follows me
In time and space to set me free.
I know a love that calls to me
Below, above, kind and lovely.
I know a friend who tells me how:
Of grandeur's trend, of splendour now.
