Elemental

I love the way the sun lays a warm orange blanket On top of shivering leaves and red cheeks. The sun kisses the life of the earth While the veined shadows jealously sleep. I love the way the trees grow from weak, bending To unforgiving and strong. I love the way trees are landmarks for memories, Stories woven thick as trunks and twice as long. I love the way the moon tells the coming of a storm, Dressed in a rainbow for another day. Tonight the moon is wide and bright, And yet tomorrow it will forget to stay. But nothing compares to the light in your eyes while you stare into mine. I can not express how much love I have But when you give your heart to her, It tears mine in half. I love the way nothing screams your name, Nature is calm and quiet. And I love the way you love her, Like I love you-no matter how hard you hide it
