Electricity
Hustling static coursing through the air
It is buzzing and crackling everywhere
It’s not safe to be outside when a storm is building fast
Let us head into the barn before the lightning blast
Suddenly a brilliant flash, we’re blinded by the light
Startled by the thunder, it rolled and shook the ground
Electricity is marvelous; it even makes a sound
It works in our appliances and even in our cars
Coursing through the circuit boards with lights like little stars
Capacitors, resistors, and microchips abound
Everywhere we look, we see them all around
Another flash, a crash and the thunder roared again
Can we make it to the house to see our show begin?
