Elderly’s day break
Sun is set to shine
Streets start humming
Birds are ready to fly
Trees awaiting the shadows
I start my day
How it goes?
Yesterday's hangover continues
Though diluted,
New engagements creep in
May be exciting
Sound of kitchen utensils
From the adjacent house
Horn of the school bus
Steps of running children
Enrich neighborly ambience
Life is a routine
Filled with occasional thrills
And memories, sad, good and bad
At times laughable being
Puerile delinquencies
Much water has flown
Black turned into grey
Many left, distances enhanced
Impulses subdued
Age is fast taking over
