Eclipse
The eclipse we’ve been waiting for.
We hope it doesn’t rain or pour.
The sun is silent most of the time.
Until the moon hides its shine.
We stand in unison.
Watching the hidden sun.
It’s almost like it’s night.
Except without the fright.
The day moves on.
Pajamas we don’t don.
Cars with headlights.
It’s all a strange sight.
The sun soon blooms again.
Nothing to lose or win.
Just a moment of our day.
To cherish what the sky has to say.
