Sunset sears scarlet ribbons tangled in a purple cloud. And nature suppresses sounds, just the softest are allowed. A cerise sun slowly sets behind a magenta glow. And moonbeams begin to dance as the evening shadows show. Orange edges the Earth's rim, while a reddish tinge tints Mars. And twilight transforms the sky as heaven unveils its stars. Darkness falls like a curtain sprinkled with droplets of dew. And reality slumbers as dusk dreams in shades of blue. A gnarled pine tree morphs into an ebony silhouette. And today greets tomorrow, although it hasn't started yet.

I think SO got it just right...you write as though you hold a paint brush in your hand. The third verse is my favorite. . . very lovely, Emile.
