Ebony and Ivory
Sitting here
With the worst headache of my life
This poem I am vigorously
Trying to write
Everyone in this world
Is still judged by black or white
Racism is still
An unsinkable fight
Even throughout the years
Even throughout the ages
Generations with different stages
There will always be the topic
Of the racial discrimination
In this great nation
They fight and die
For the right to live
Yet they need not to be treated
By the vindictive
After wars, after protests
After speeches after sports games,
They are not seen all as equals
Only they are victims of vulgar names
And not treated as our same
Only through the shadows
Of tension and hate
Light must come
And peace it create
Never will this place
Ever live in harmony
Until ivory
Merges with ebony
Together we must come
Not further apart
Yet always one
Must learn the place to start
