Christ as High Priest sacrificed self, paid God … ransom blood price, Christ’s memorial’s once a year, one night commanded to keep. Easter’s, pagan celebration. it’s ancient roots … run deep. Easters from pagan Eostre fertility goddess. Honest Christians ask why churches, involved … in pagan mess? Barbara, I thoroughly enjoyed your Easter poem. Have read it several times delving into its depth and richness. I especially love the way you so skillfully blended scripture, history and the Jewish calendar. For me this poem has a staying power to keep me thinking about "keep!" Congratulations on your win!
