Earth's Last Battle

The last man on Earth searched the city ruins As a brave young soldier he had served his country well Under the debris and rubble he found a beautiful woman But when he saw her rebel badge he shot her through the heart. Then sang a victory song. Earths last battle won.

Thank you for the comments on all my poems. I am looking for contributions on my website. Have put together one book which should be out in a week or so. Hoping to do another one with guest writers. If I get enough it could be bi-anual or even quarterly. Only published local until I see how it goes.

Yeah. Wrote it a few years ago and it was commented on. My thought process is that he'd be very brainwashed for his cause so would not think logically. Either that or he was looking for a man. :)
