"Oh my God how beautiful!" exclaimed my four year old Granddaughter as we drove over a small bridge and she saw the wash with muddy flowing water. I was reminded at that very moment how my prayers for an enlightened teacher were evident. Her love spreads out like ripples in a lake as her vibrations expand. The colors in her aura radiate a wisdom from many lifetimes. An Indigo child filled with compassion, when she speaks I listen and learn. She sees a beauty in me I don't see. I see in her an amazing reverent glow. As we journey through her formative years together, far faster than I desire, I watch her contentment grow along with her uninhibited vivid imagination. It is indiscernible who is raising whom. Her joy of living predicates why she's here, why she has returned to another earthlife. She is an earth angel and my blessing! © Connie Marcum Wong

YOU MUST KEEP THIS SOMEWHERE for her to hold and linger over all of her life. She's freshly beautiful and you captured that magnificently with wonderfully worded sentiments that caress my own heart. This poem is a treasure, a real jewel brightly colored with a grandmother's love. CayCay

your piece goes beyond what is usual... the third eye, the supra-natural ability to see, feel a world outside this realm is a gift... so lovely and ethereal, connie.. we have much in common!...huggs

Yes, children are special. Their imagination has not been corrupted and they probably have experiences closed to adults. Little angels right here and now. Love, daver

She sees beauty in everything daver. It bothers me to kill an ant, we put bugs outside alive if possible. She is part of our next generation, our future. She will grow up to contribute to making our world a better place. As for the wonderful picture, I Googled Earth angel and looked through the images that came up and thought this was perfect for my poem. Thanks daver. ; )

Thank you very much Carl. Carissa is such a joy. Her middle name is Hawaiian. It is Nalani. Carissa Nalani means "beloved of the heavens". Her mommy chose that name because of its meaning. It is perfect for her. Blessings, Connie

"Through the eyes of a child" and "from the mouths of babes" children see the world in purity and innocence, that is until they are awakened by reality. Beautiful tribute to your granddaughter, Connie.

How wonderful that you liked my poem enough to fave it. Thank you so much for that and also for your lovely comment Eve. I think I see the makings of a poet in my granddaughter. Yesterday she told me she told her mommy she loved my poetry and I shined bright in her eyes. ; )
