Earth, Air, Water and Fire

Earth is very hot seeds find rooting hard few seem to flourish in the barren earth Air struggles to cool plants enough to grow in the terrible heat they start to wither All suffer from heat a spark of fire spreads through the field the seeds start dying Water saves the day giving all vital life as it soaks land putting out the fire

Dear Shadow, Your poem packs a powerful punch in its simplicity. The stark portrayal of the elements at odds with each other paints a vivid picture of struggle and survival. While the poem is short, it leaves a lasting impression. It reminds us of the delicate balance of nature and the interconnectedness of all things. It also carries a subtle message of hope, emphasizing the power of the right element to bring life back, even in the face of devastation. Thought Provoking. - Blessings, Daniel

Well said, Shadow. When we lived in the desert in El Paso, Texas, I passed a sign every day that said, "Water is Life." Your poem has captured that idea beautifully. Wishing you a pleasant evening, hugs, Sara PS best wishes with the contest.
