Early Spring
Though winter is upon us still,
I have seen little snow.
The wind maintains its chill,
and rarely ceases to blow.
Days filled with sunshine,
a delight along the eastern shore.
The forecast with barely a sign,
that winter is outside the door
There is a hint of green,
amid winter's hue of brown.
Yellow daffodils are seen,
peeking through the ground.
Maybe an early spring.
will add color to a dreary scene.
Nature will once again bring,
fragrant air, fresh and clean.
If spring is truly on it's way,
I do hope it hurries along.
I hope and wait for the day,
I will hear robin's sweet song
