Dwelling
Dwelling on unwanted self-pity,
Shackled in invisible chains,
I see your smile closing my eyes,
Which is the numbing of my pains,
Back again to face my demons,
A continuous releasing of pride,
Submissing myself to your love,
Never to leave where I reside,
Tossing, monotonously turning,
Dreaming sweetly of love and lust,
Only to awake to concrete walls,
Grey doors and windows of rust,
And yet a reoccurring dream of a fountain,
It's brim unsecurily flooded with love,
Walking down church steps together,
Releasing the latch to free the doves.
