~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My domestic dwelling,
hugs me like the first time my mother
cradled me in her arms
when I was born.
It welcomes me,
like a warm thick jacket
put over my body
when it's storming outside.
It is my refuge,
when the world is against me
and blocks out the sun
shining the spotlight on my face.
It separates my extrovert
and introvert counterparts
by opening and closing my doors
to expected and unexpected visitors.
It is the place,
I can freely express my craziness
and weep in silence
on misty days.
The rain does not fall here,
as the haven expels
any misfortune and pain.
I am a dweller in paradise.
