Dusk
as I watch the sun
fall to the edge
of nothingness
I look to the
nights shadows
street lights dim
and flickering
the corridor
I would never
walk down
I pledged to myself
to leave would
be to stay
as she fell deeper
into her dusk
the raw smell
of decay and
sewage musk
to hold on
would mean
survival to her
bright exposing day
