Dulcinea
Te amo,Dulcinea
It’s not a physical love
but a love borne out of memories past
brief glimpses of sharing our thoughts and dreams
of the future through a leafy path where daisies bloom
or you and I only in a room
surrounded by darkness save for one candle light
and night came more often than day when we professed our love
Eyes peering at each other light and dark
My finger presses the fullness of your lips
and your hand fondles my cheek
coming together as one through gaze and touch
and then the words
