Duality of Spring
A day had come when sullen skies had cleared
The sun shined down to melt the cold away
Forgotten were the things that I had feared
Resigned my books to eat the sun that day
But while my skin was saying thanks for sun,
The forecast seemed to have conflicting plans
I felt no longer that the day was won
As rain and shadow covered soaking lands
I stared out from my window sill in wait
To see the clouds begin to turn around
But all my time was only filled with hate
As puddles made their beds into the ground
For days I despaired, but not once did see
A ray of loving light dancing for me
