Drying Tears
There isn’t a night going by
I did not miss you
Wishful tears going dry
My world... I no longer knew
It was raining last day last year
And you weren’t there
The silence remains to only hear
It was love I could no longer bear
By the end of the year, I fell apart
Tears falling into drying time
In the end, your world simply departs
Myself I saw was left behind
Without a clue to start afresh
I pen my drying tears into words I know how
Blacken ink marking the paper’s ash
For written poetry, I know no bounds
I watch as love goes by
Was I helpless?... yet I knew
Tears going dry
I did not miss you
