Drunk Lovers On a Bench

I can’t leave you alone and you are too drunk to drive. So we sit by ourselves as the people walk home and we slump beneath a tree. Now you're passed out on my knee and as I look down at you I hate that I am going to hurt you and you have no idea. So if its gonna hurt why don’t I just leave now And let you sleep under this tree and never come back? But I could not do that. So I’ll lay awake and wait for you to come to and then we will head home. And one day will be past and the next will pass the same. I don’t have the courage to give you pain So I will hold it inside of me until it is to much to bear.
