Drums

Drums I hear the drums of war beating And know the time is near One day we will look out the window And see Jesus Christ standing there The signs of the prophesies Are very clear to all Many knows its here But only few will answer the call For god has promise mankind The glory of his kingdom And the gates are always open just open your hearts and come He promise not to destroy the world again So he gives Mohammad a message But still so many fanatics Brings bloodshed and carnage Don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah When he turns Lot’s wife to salt So why do false prophets think God will forgive their faults And John the Baptist A lonely voice in the wilderness They take off his head Because he condemns their wickedness The drums of war will keep on beating Regardless of what the holy books say And the suffering of mankind will continue Until Jesus comes one day The birds are outside singing Bright sun and clear blue skies A sight so beautiful But nothing compare to paradise I know I will not go there My life had some ups and downs So many times throughout the years I did some rights and wrongs And I may have hurt some people By doing the right thing at the wrong time When all I had was good intensions But they could not read my mind Time to go I have a pot on the fire I like to cook everyday So I will save my pen and paper To write another day
