Great one..Kind of funny in a way..Enjoyed reading it this afternoon..Thanks for stopping by..Poulter's Measure is a metered line in rhyming couplets there are 12 syllables in the first line and 14 syllables in the second line..A poulter(poultry) sold eggs as an income ..12 eggs is a dozen which is usually sold at a certain price..But if the chicken were laying good he would include 14 eggs to his customers..So I delivered 12 syllables in the first line and 14 syllables in the second line..Sara
