Drive

One should learn to enjoy one's drive taking in the view; don't rush, just to get that "high" or prayers will be said from the pew. What's the rush, why risk your life? Never put the Lord to test; think of mama, think of your wife just go slow, that's the best! I pray the Lord, O' bless my journey take away the rains; deliver me from evil, grant me safety take away the pains. O' Lord, grant us mercy journeys safety, protection, drive away the bad; for in the end, there are no maybe's just blessings, i promise you won't be sad. So have a song even as you drive do not do the dance of stress; soon you'll give yourself a good high five destination reached? well, more or less. So keep praying at every turn pray, pray, it'll be ok; in His Hands, we shall not burn have faith in God's Mercy, He is the Way.

John, this reminds me of car rides my parents and I would take in the autumn of the year- long, slow country rides to take in the beauty of our region. I probably was impatient to be home, but my parents derived joy from those leisurely rides. Looking back, I am glad I had the chance to join them.

precious memories you have! driving isn't what i recall it in the old days. these days, the rain can send me into panic; and sometimes just breezing along trunk roads gives off romantic past experiences. thanks for popping by! cheers!

Wise words indeed John - this should be given to everyone who is learning to drive. So many lives are lost by reckless behaviour or drunk or drugged driving or using the phone and not concentrating on the actual task of driving:-( hugs jan xx

thanks! Jan! yes you're right; i find it incomprehensible why some drive as they do... sad. i've had drivers flash their lights, or even horn impatiently, to the extreme of lorries tail-gating me just because i drive (well, slower) carefully. anyhoo, thanks again for dropping by. cheers!

a large part of what i do is well, driving; sometimes even the smallest angst can propel me to pray for help from the Lord. as He is Faithful, so He answers; but a large part is also upon ourselves and how we drive and treat other drivers. Be compassionate, be aware and always do your part: Love thy neighbour. Cheers!
