Drink the Kool-Aid

Chug-a-lug, Chug-a-lug – no matter the fly in our President's mug, the bug in his thinking...my reflecting on his ailing brain, and it's obvious volume shrinking: Those mindless, confusing rants, Bidden juices-up; Psaki, drinking without blinking – regurgitating at deceptive White House briefings – propaganda validated by shameless, would-be reporters, were it not for their obvious conscription – their sacrificial genuflecting, having sold their souls to the Golden Calf of Soros wealth and tyrannical influence – For Progressive compliance – securing her high place of worship in a Marxist, Totalitarian Kingdom – Pelosi suggesting free ice-cream be given to all, in place of Tried-And-True, Good Old, American Freedom –

I've had many similar thoughts I liked reading this poem. I do believe that free ice cream for the masses requires free freezers to keep it in. And of course, that means more electricity. Nice going.

Was more so even years ago, often poets the voice for disgruntled populations, oppressed by kings, popes and barbarian dictators. I wish things were different. The greatest prose poetry ever written, the bible, is very much about such abuse and heartache. Blessings my friend.

I have to agree with Milton. If you want to write a poem about inflation or the disaster at the border with thoughts that are clever and new... go ahead. But personal attacks on people whether it's Trump or Biden... should never be POTD. This poem offers nothing clever or amusing... It's just mean. Joe... you are better than this. Have a great day.

Hi Alexis -- Oh were it so! I hear you, but this is important – too important for the soul of humanity to ignore, separate out from all our daily endeavors. While censorship is needed in society, I do believe, for art it can be wrong. I'd like to thank Soup for allowing this conversation. Blessings.
