Dreams That Never End
Take a deep breath and feel the cool ocean breeze.
Lay back your head let your golden hair flow free.
Feel the warm tingle of the sun on your face
filling the lines around your eyes like a road map you can trace.
Waves flow around you, cooling your warm sun kissed skin.
Drifting off to places you’ve dreamed but never been.
Maybe sipping tea with the queen at her royal throne,
or singing like a rock star on a stage all alone.
Or flipping through a magazine and finding your face on the cover,
or discovering you’re the main attraction at the circus as a juggler.
Or winning an academy award for your part in an epic movie,
or sitting back stage with the band where you’re the number one groupie.
Or maybe time rewinds and you’re slow dancing at the prom,
or sitting at lunch with the boy you had an enormous crush on.
Or maybe you’re top chef at a five star hotel,
or climbing the tallest mountain to take a breathtaking repel.
So as the crisp ocean breeze peaks your senses to awake
and you open up your eyes as the cold waves wash away,
and the dimly lit sunset lights your soul deep within,
you finally come to realize that your dreams will never end.
