Dream
Brought forth by the
eyes in the mind
Of a subtle intellect,
When an unknown thought
defined
A picture vivid, I had a
dream...:
A leaf broke-of from a tree
Without a slight stir of its
branch;
The river below, breathing
free,
Swept to catch a frond
That danced awhile, then with
a lunge,
Fell in his arms sublime...
The sky above, smiling down,
Witnessed those happy
ripples
made;
The world about, all aglow
Saw felicity pervade...
A fulfillment eased the mind
Of its stringent intellect,
When that unknown thought
had defined
A picture so vivid, in my
dream...
